When I was little . . .


. . . Snapshots were black and white.

So was TV.
 
Maybe that's why I loved books!




We didn't have computers or cell phones or CDs or DVDs. 

I was in 3rd grade when President Kennedy was assassinated in 1963.

In 1964, I watched the Beatles on their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show.

The network stations weren't broadcasting all in color until 1966-67.

When Apollo 11 landed on the moon, I was 13.  My husband, whom I didn't know then, was disappointed that the first moon landing hadn't happened one day earlier on his 13th birthday.

. . . I really liked pretending





Yes, that's two kitties in a bed I made out of a box.  The black one is wearing a dress and drinking water out of a doll's baby bottle!
